What are Mental Health Capacity Chapters?

Mental Health Capacity Chapters are community-led groups of men dedicated to fostering mental wellness and driving change in their communities. These teams lead honest conversations, inspire cultural shifts, and advocate for mental health through hosting awareness events, promoting services, creating safe spaces, and encouraging social connection. Each chapter receives access to expert guidance, practical resources, and a supportive network of peers.

We believe in the power of men to understand their communities and lead real solutions. Our role is to guide, support, and empower these changemakers as they take action, make an impact, and grow in resilience and well-being.

How to Keep Your Gray Space Chapter Active

To ensure your chapter remains strong and impactful in supporting men’s mental well-being, follow these key steps:

  1. Keep the Mental Health Capacity Chapters team updated with current contact information for Chapter Leaders, Mentors, and Members.
  2. Keep the Momentum Going: Keep hosting events, promoting mental health awareness, and fostering supportive spaces for men in your community.
  3. Complete all Chapter Reports (typically sent quarterly) to keep the Mental Health Capacity team informed about your activities and progress. This helps us stay connected and provide meaningful support for your initiatives.
  4. Complete Yearly Updates: Submit an annual report or check-in form to maintain your chapter’s active status and highlight the impact you’re making on men’s mental well-being.
  5. Sustain Leadership: Ensure your chapter has an engaged team of men and a committed mentor or advocate dedicated to leading mental health initiatives.
  6. Adhere to School Policies: Follow your organization’s guidelines to ensure ongoing support and smooth operation of your chapter.

By staying engaged and organized, your Mental Health Capacity chapter will continue to be a vital part of advancing men’s mental well-being.
